Administration - Volunteers are required to answer the phones, schedule pickups for the driver, and handle general administrative tasks
Driver’s Assistant - Volunteers are required to help the driver pick up donations and load/unload the truck.
Warehouse Clerk - Volunteers are required to handle the intake and preparation for sale of donations. These volunteers also assist customers.
Appliance Tester - Volunteers are needed to ensure donated household appliances (fridges, stoves, washers, dryers, etc.) are in good working order and ready for resale.

At the Job Site:
Construction
Volunteers with a wide range of skills and skill levels (tradesmen, skilled amateurs, and eager helpers) are required in all phases of the construction of a Habitat home. No experience necessary.
Meal Providers
Volunteers and volunteer groups are required to provide meals for our construction volunteers.
On a Committee:
Development
Raises the funds to meet the goals set forth by the Board in the annual budget, makes the name of East Cooper Habitat for Humanity a household word in the East Cooper Area and creates awareness of the mission in the East Cooper Area.
Church Relations
Works to involve an expanding number of churches in the ministry of East Cooper Habitat and maintains Habitat’s focus on witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Family Support
Provides support and assistance to partner families so that they are prepared for and have the tools necessary to be successful homeowners.
Family Selection
Selects deserving families for recommendation to the Board for partnership with East Cooper Habitat for Humanity.
Land Acquisition
Works to bank a year’s supply of sites (10-12) for building, ensuring an uninterrupted operation to continue the mission of East Cooper Habitat for Humanity.
Construction
Provides oversight to the construction process, assists construction supervisor and interacts with the land acquisition committee on land development issues.
Other:
Special Events
Volunteers are required to represent Habitat at special events throughout the year. Volunteers are also needed to help organize fundraising and appreciation events.
